Patricia MacLachlan is one of the most beloved children's books writers working today. She has written more than 50 books—from picture books to novels—including the Newbery Medal–winner Sarah, Plain and Tall, and My Friend Earth also published by Chronicle Books. She lives in western Massachusetts.
Marc Boutavant is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been showcased in The New Yorker and The New York Times. He has illustrated a range of children's books, including Around the World with Mouk, which was made into an animated series, and Woodland Dreams. lives in Paris.
