About the author

Barry Solof, MD, FASAM is a graduate of Yale Medical School and has been practicing addiction medicine for thirty-five years. He was the Regional Chief of Addiction Medicine for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California, as well as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Los Angeles City College. Currently, Dr. Solof is the Medical Director of Michael's House, a nationally recognized rehabilitation facility for addiction and co-occuring disorders, located in Palm Springs, California.
