An expert in the field of cryogenics, Victor Fries led a relatively normal existence. He worked diligently and married a woman named Nora who then became terminally ill. To stop her degenerative disease from taking her life, Victor put her into suspended animation. Paul Dini is a multiple Emmy and Eisner Award-winning writer and producer who has helped redefine the legends of the DC Universe in such series as The New Batman/Superman Adventures, Batman Beyond, Krypto and Justice League Unlimited. In doing so, he co-created one of the most popular characters in comics in Harley Quinn, who originated as a character in Batman: The Animated Series. In comics he has authored The World's Greatest Super-Heroes, illustrated by Alex Ross. Dini has also collaborated with Chip Kidd on Batman Animated for HarperCollins. Scott Snyder is a #1 NEW YORK TIMES best-selling writer and one of the most critically accalimed scribes in all of comics. His works include BATMAN, BATMAN ETERNAL, SUPERMAN UNCHAINED, AMERICAN VAMPIRE and SWAMP THING. He has also been published in ZOETROPE, TIN HOUSE, ONE-STORY, EPOCH, SMALL SPIRAL NOTEBOOK, and other journals, and has a short story collection, VOODOO HEART, which was published by Dial Press.
