About this eBook

THE LONG HALLOWEEN is more than a comic book. It's an epic tragedy."—Christopher Nolan (director THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) Taking place during Batman's early days of crime fighting, this new edition of the classic mystery tells the story of a mysterious killer who murders his prey only on holidays. Working with District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant James Gordon, Batman races against the clock as he tries to discover who Holiday is before he claims his next victim each month. A mystery that has the reader continually guessing the identity of the killer, this story also ties into the events that transform Harvey Dent into Batman's deadly enemy, Two-Face.

I have recently read this comic book and I loved the mystery which kept you guessing and also the relationship between Harvey and his wife. But there was a lot of unnecessary sub plots and story. Joker was unnecessary and so was Poison Ivy as they didn't do anything to the storyline. I also think that the character of Flacone was not as good as I expected. But don't let what I just said now make you think that this book is rubbish - I had quite a good time with it. I just think that if the main story was the only focus and if some of the characters were left out then I think this would be a better graphic novel.

Apparently iconic and cool, but really just repetitive with a stupid twist and artwork that can't decide whether to be cartoony or realistic. i especially don't like the repeated lines throughout the book, like how characters are introduced again every time they show up. i think they were going for a symbolic thing, but it doesn't work. Decent story.

Harvey Dent's almost inevitable transition into Two-Face is such a visceral tale dragged out in a Noire feel. The artwork and mafia characters throughout add to that feel, and with the mystery of who the Holiday killer is makes for a suspenseful tale.
