About this eBook

Grant Maxwell is a retired Navy SEAL who now works in a boring office job. After a year of being behind a desk, he's desperate for a change. When his brother Brady invites him to come and stay at his ranch in Wyoming for a while, he decides to go. It's here where he meets the very pretty, and extremely down to earth Emily.

Emily Wessler is a country girl. She works as a speech therapist for children, and enjoys nothing more than spending time at home. To the world she's quiet and innocent, but to the ones that know her best she's wild and carefree. Her life is a simple and happy one. But all that is about to change when she comes home one day to find her house on fire. It's here where Emily meets Grant, at the time when she needs him most.

I feel bad giving low ratings and being unkind to the author, yet I can only manage 3 stars because the book was free. I hope the author's writing has vastly improved and that they have fired their editor. It was a painful struggle of a book. The idea isn't terrible, but the errors are unforgivable. My apologies. I would have kept this to myself, but I wish more people had been honest so I could have saved myself some time.

While the premise of the book isn't bad, it was painful to read due to the massive amount of grammatical errors, the remarkable continuity issues and the general lack of knowledge on subjects. Realtors don't get a base wage and one doesn't simply get "hired" as a Realtor. There's a lot of training and testing involved. Food doesn't arrive at a table twice (and there are a great many other food options beyond pizza and pasta) and you can't purchase a property without the owner's knowledge that it is even for sale. Neither of the main characters were at all believable, and it seemed like the "SEAL" and "instant cowboy even though he was raised in the city", and "oh, wait - now I'm a fireman" aspects were an attempt to make Grant seem more masculine.

Why does this story have the word Seal in the title? or Dirty? Cant think of any character less likely than Grant to have been in the Navy let alone a Seal. Also, this story SERIOUSLY needs sub-editing - lots of continuity errors, poor spelling, and grammar. Could also do with eliminating unnecessary dialogue.
