Two down and these council boys just keep getting hotter. Each one brings something different to the table, and they all have an air of mystery around them. This seventh book also ramps up the mystery surrounding Fiona, plus there's the intrigue of a possible traitor. Each book in this serial brings another layer to both the mystery and the characters, and each new addition draws me further into the fascinating world that Becca Fanning has created. With every new part of this series, I'm more and more torn between wanting the answers and not wanting them to come too quickly. The beauty of a serial like this one is getting to savor each new part, and I'm thoroughly enjoying every little bit.

I'm going to start off by saying that i really enjoyed the books and they kept me intrigued; However, I was left disappointed and ashamed that I spent quite a bit of money on them only to see that it ended very abruptly with an unfinished plot. I'm hoping that another book will be released so I don't regret my decision of buying these books.

I spent a small fortune on these very short books, only for the seventh and (what appears to be the last) book to end just like the others.. Suddenly and with no conclusion to the actual plot. What is going on here? Are there more books coming that just hasn't been announced yet or is this really how it ends? It's advertised as a seven book-series so naturally that is what you assume it is. If the number of books is undetermined, maybe they could say so? I'm just really confused right now. If there are no more books then I'm seriously disappointed in the series, and the money I spent getting it. I hope there are more books yet to be announced. If you read this review now, maybe wait to buy the series until you are sure there is an actual ending coming! I sure wish I had..
