About this ebook

Abducted from a life of privilege, she was sold into slavery in a distant land. For Lady Janet Leslie there would be no escaping the harem of the wealthy and powerful Sultan Selim. But from the moment the handsome ruler spied his breathtaking "Cyra," was captivated -- by the fiery desire that coursed through his veins. She belonged to him, body and soul -yet it was he who was enslaved.

Praised for her keen sense of history and remarkable storytelling powers, the bestselling author of The Spitfire displays the passionate magic that has made her a national favorite -sweeping the reader into the romantic past, from the magnificence of Renaissance Europe to the perfumed splendor of a Sultan's court.

The Kadin is the first romance novel I ever read when I was 8yrs old. (Snuck into my mothers "hidden" book collection.😆) I am now in my early 40's. The entire Kadin collection to this day is still my absolute fav! If U have Netflix, there's a show called Magnificent Empire. The show is about Cyra's child Sulymain that she left behind to become Sultan. Beatrice did a much better job of staying to the true story but Magnificent Empire is worth watching if you love this particular story line.

My first book by this author and I will look for more titles by her. Her words have the power to bring you into the characters' world, and it was one rollercoaster of a ride! Lots of intrigue, betrayal, lust, and love; from the beginning to the end. Believe me; you'll think of this story long after you've finished the last page.

I have probably read this book 5 or 6 times. My copy is very worn. I would love to put my hands around Beshma neck she is an evil woman. And yes I'll read it again. Thank you for a place for me to escape to. I'm hoping someone can help me, I cannot get my read aloud to work and a couple of others. If you respond to me I will send you my phone # so can talk me through it. Thank you so very much. Elaine Hughes
