This novel was fun! I really enjoyed the big, growly alpha who sees the heroine and is instantly mushy about her and totally devoted to her. The heroine was tough, gritty, and very sympathetic. She came across as an older heroine, even though in reality she was only 36 years old. It was great having a heroine with adult children, though. There was plenty of danger and high stakes of the life or death variety to keep things interesting and me turning the pages rapidly. That ending was something, too! I cannot wait for THAT story. I had a great time reading this novel. Highly recommended. I received a free copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Quite a nice book this is a first for me by this author I haven't read any of her other books in this series, I did find it hard to relate to the heroine a little bit I found some of her thought process a little confusing but I enjoyed the book on the whole. I will probably try another book in this series by the author and see how I feel after that. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It's like seeing old friends every time I pick up a Grace Goodwin book ***** Rating: 4 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre: Sci-Fi Romance / Aliens / Fated Mates ***** Each and every book by Grace Goodwin that I've read has been a delight, and this series with the beasts has been both entertaining and heartwarming! In Big Bad Beast, we get Maxus’ story, an Atlan warrior that was captured by the hive and has some serious hive (imagine cyborg) integrations forced on him. He escaped and went to earth illegally to find his bride. For money, he cage fights… and then he spends the rest of his time looking for his mate before the Mating fever is so bad he must be unalived. Vivian, YES! A plus-sized, older single mom who raised her twin girls and is doing what she has to do to make a living. Paramedic by day, and a medic for an illegal fight club by night. She has been taking care of everyone her entire life. OMG I LOVED HER! When she finally puts herself first I cheered! But that would be too easy right… fight club, boy meets girl, HEA… and you are right there is so much more to this story. Is it insta? YES! Do I care? NO… these are broken warriors that can scent their mate and will be devoted to them forever. Bring on the insta! I thoroughly enjoyed Big Bad Beast, a hot, passionate, and amusing story. This story has it all: suspense, villains, and a slew of familiar faces! I loved it! As long as Grace Goodwin continues to write, I will continue to read. If you're looking for a fantastic read, I highly recommend this one.
