If you're not used to this author, the story would be convoluted, and the character's behaviors esp the female is confusing. She's kind of a child playing at being adult. Although her panic anxieties are triggered by childhood abuse and trauma which is messy when her children get affected by her reactionary attitude. Cursing is normal to these badass biker family but their hearts are in the right place. All that bitchy hardass bluster hides a soft sensitive side.

It was helpful having read some of the previous stories, otherwise it would have been very confusing with so many characters. I love checking in on the Johansen family. Good read. Good author.

Really cute story even though realistic PTSD trauma of abuse. Minimal sexual details but emotional details were spot on. Lots of character development for continued books.
