About this ebook

Bird Song: Identification Made Easy is a field guide to the songs of 125 of the more common birds of eastern North America. The author provides a practical "system" which allows for the identification of birds, by their songs, right in the field. A first for such quick identification!

This book will be welcomed by every outdoors person who, at one time or another, has quietly listened to a bird's trill and wondered what species is singing. It is designed to allow all ages and levels of birders to "play detective" in the wilds and learn more about bird song. The book contains an abundance of comprehensive information on bird song, habitat and nesting preferences, and winter and summer ranges, not available in any other single volume.

About the author

Ernie Jardine lives in Pickering Ontario. His interest in the birds began as a youngster in the 1950’s, scouring his Toronto neighbourhood for birds, along with like-minded friends. Bird sticker books, and bird books from the local library also figured prominently. From that youthful curiosity, his present preoccupation with birds and birding has evolved, passing through many and varied stages.
