About the author

Abraham Tesser was research Professor of Psychology at the University of Georgia while editing this volume. He has edited several books and published a number of articles on communication, attitudes, thought processes, and self-evaluation maintenance. He is currently Visiting Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University.

Norbert Schwarz is Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan and Senior Research Scientist at Michigan's Institute for Social Research. He has published numerous articles, chapters, and books on human judgement, including Cognition and Communication: Judgmental Biases, Research Methods and the Logic of Conversation (1995).
