Jessie Hunt, still experiencing effects of her kidnapping by Andy Robinson, returns to work after one month and immediately gets assigned to partner with Susannah Valentin. These two women have had an antagonistic relationship. I have not liked her character at all, but that changes in this entry. Jessie and Valentin work well together, after a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting. Meanwhile, Operation Z is a ‘go’ and Ryan does not want Jessie involved. Fortunately, Jessie doesn’t always do what Ryan says.

If anyone can be a protege of Jessie, I guess that will be Hannah. She has such a sharp mind and is quick with observation and analysis. With no training, she is so awesome; with training, she'll be unbeatable. Jessie, with all her shortcomings after kidnapping, is still the best. I am glad that she and her new partner are finally getting together. I can't wait for the next in the series.

Jessie is struggling with her physical shortcomings when she returns to work. To top it up, her new partner is Valentine and she has to report to her husband who is now the Chief. Their case is not a simple one, someone is killing wealthy ladies and leaves no trace behind. At the same time, Ryan and the rest of the team are working on Operation Z and Jessie is not involved. The two cases almost collide in time but Jessie has an outstanding performance and is able to help solve both.
