Dawn Rouse-Mark is a wife, mother of two children, step-mother of three, grandmother of nineteen, and great-grandmother of nine and counting. She was raised in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada; close to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind Camp. She has worked as a secretary/receptionist, bookkeeper, career counsellor, and workshop facilitator.
Dawn's best friend growing up had a disease which caused a lack of coordination .between her hands and her eyes. Dawn's friend Mary had a 60% chance of losing her sight. This caused Dawn to have an interest in blindness at an early age.
Dawn loves to travel and has spent five winters in Florida, U.S.A.. She has written six books for Children including: the four book Grandma and Me series, Ellery the Elephant, and Mgizeh's first Pow Wow.
