Growing up, Tim McWhorter spent countless hours with centuries-old supernatural beings, linguini-loving gangsters and underwater sea creatures gone bad, making it inevitable that he would write fiction as an adult. Yet it wasn’t until he reached his mid-thirties that he discovered that was what he wanted to do. He heading back into the classroom for countless evenings and weekends buried in less interesting books than he was used to, and graduated from Otterbein College with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.
His first full-length novel, Bone White, was birthed from his experiences as a teenager in central Ohio. From there, it evolved into something his mother called “disturbing.” That’s when he knew he’d accomplished his goal on that novel.
Tim currently lives in Gahanna, Ohio, with his ever-supportive wife, Julie, where they are severely outnumbered by kids and pets who fashion a world that is sometimes more whacked out than any of the ones he creates. Besides reading and writing, Tim enjoys movies, baseball, golf, travel and nature photography.
