Born and brought up in the British Residential Colony of India Security Press at Nashik, Arun Ogale had a keen interest in architecture right from the beginning. After completing his government diploma in architecture in 1966, he was taken over by an intense aspiration, social commitment and love for architecture. He then travelled extensively throughout India, studying the historical structures for their architecture while simultaneously fulfilling his enthusiasm for photography. Arun Ogale has written more than 200 articles that were published in various newspapers and magazines. He has also written a vast number of study papers and conducted extensive research and developmental work. Being a professional architect, teacher, social worker and a writer, he has lived in multiple cities throughout his career. Starting from Nashik, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, back to Mumbai and then finally settling in Pune after his retirement in 2001. After a prosperous career, he currently enjoys his time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
