"Funny, romantic and full of fiery chemistry ... This was amazing!" -Bookgasms Book Blog

I’m the guy you call when you need to impress your overbearing family, your boss, or your ex. Yeah, I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.

I’m the guy who’ll make you feel beautiful, desired, and worshipped . . . all for a steep price. I’m hired to make you shine, and I always deliver.

I’ll be whatever you want me to be for one night—except my true self. This is just a job, a role I play to earn a paycheck.

But I’m not the guy who falls for a client. Not once in six years.

And then I meet Elle. Her friend has hired me to escort her to a wedding, but Elle doesn’t know we’re just pretending.

There’s a fire between us I never expected. A connection I haven’t felt in so long. One kiss, and I’m losing all control.

But what will happen when she finds out who I really am?

I've read and enjoyed alot of Kendall Ryan books so saddens me that this one didn't hit the mark for me. I felt it was rushed and didn't delve deep into the characters much. it didn't grab me and take me away into the usual imagination of feeling like you are experiencing what's going on. I couldn't and didn't really enjoy the characters. the plot and storyline could have been great but so much more depth and time could have been taken to develop it. disappointing but she does write amazing other books. I look at reviews so I feel honest ones help

Wow,Kendall Ryan sure does like creating heroes that take you outside the comfort zone when fantasising about Mr Right. Nic is absolutely adorable, his career choice is a little unorthodox; being a male escort doesn’t really lend itself to relationships. Although, Nic is a romantic at heart and dreams of a future that includes a soul-mate and a family, the whole white picket fence fantasy 😍 Having fallen into the profession as a means of making money in order to pursue his true dream of creating designer homes; the money is also what has kept him tied to his current profession – a catch 22 situation. Nic also takes pride in his work and strives to be the best, even when it could put his future in jeopardy. I adored Nic’s self-imposed rules and his attempt to keep some things back in which to share with his true love. In order to ensure his future lady has a part of himself, he hasn’t given to anyone else. It kinda messes with your head when you think about the parts of himself he does actually share with a large number of women 😉 Elle is the ultimate good-girl; beautiful inside and out, her self-confidence has taken a serious dent thanks to her douchey ex-boyfriend who also happens to be her brothers best friend. Instead of spending her best friend/brothers wedding in an anxious state, Elle’s soon-to-be-sister-in-law steps in to set her up on a date. Unbeknowest to Elle, it is with Nic who has been hired to be her date. The thing is the magnetism between Elle and Nic is the real deal from the very beginning, something that Nic struggles with especially as he hasn’t had to play a role when he is with Elle. Nic’s struggle with his very real feelings for Elle has him acting like a dipstick by pushing Elle away. Although it does also make Nic re-evaluate the direction his life has taken, is he really striving for his dreams or coasting along under the security blanket of money. I loved how Elle and Nic encouraged and supported each other to make their dreams a reality. One of the beneifits of having a male escort as your boyfriend is that you are in no doubt they perform well 😉 Personally, I don’t think I could get over the knowledge of Nic’s profession but then again is there any difference between a male escort hero and one that is just a man-ho?

***4 Stars*** Before even diving into this baby I knew it would be one of those where I’d be anxiously awaiting the shoe to drop and yet not wanting it to at the same time, and I was absolutely correct. I spent almost the entire book with my stomach in knots KNOWING what was going to happen, but I also ended up smiling like a goof ball through most of it as well (thank goodness for #snowmaggedon since I was at home so no one witnessed it) and didn’t want it to end. I really liked Nic and Elle. Nic is a charming S.O.B, he really is and it isn’t solely due to his occupation. It’s simply apart of his DNA, which made it hard to not like the guy. But he also has this sense of honor that comes out at the most inopportune, or not - totally depends on your POV - that proves what a good man he is. Elle is a sassy thing who leads with her heart. She has her hang ups and may not be the most confident of people, but when she chooses a path she goes for it and gives it her all. While there weren’t too many surprises on their journey to their HEA, it was still an enjoyable one regardless of the anticipation (anxiety) of when the shoe would drop. Experiencing Nic and Elle getting to know one another was a lot of fun and the chemistry between them was HAWT! As for that shoe...I was honestly irritated by how it was dropped, I mean there were only so many ways it could have happened, but I wanted to reach out and smack the person who did it and what was said because I was all “oh no you didn’t” but it happened. I also could have gone for more groveling, but knowing the kind of person Elle was, I got why there wasn’t and was happy for them in the end. This was a fun, quick read that was sweet, smexy and while low on angst definitely kept me on my toes. And after reading that little tease of The Hookup Handbook I cannot wait to get to know Case a lot better! ~ Copy provided by the author via InkSlinger PR & voluntarily reviewed ~
