About this ebook

GAME ON!

Ever since various world governments signed the World War III Armistice, the virtual world has become even more important than the real world.

Adam does not care for the virtual world. His only concern is curing his terminally ill lover, but with Aris on the verge of death, he is running out of time and hope.

When a woman called Fayte comes knocking on his door with a proposal, he's all too happy to accommodate her. She will cure Aris of her supposedly incurable disease with experimental technology that may have dark ties to Adam's past. In exchange, Adam will enter the newest VRMMORPG, Age of Gods, to help Fayte win a bet that will have dire consequences for her should she lose.

He enters the game, creates his character, and is ready to rock. But before he can even think of helping Fayte with her bet, he must first leave the Village of Beginnings by reaching level 10.

Can Adam prove his worth by being the first person to complete the dreaded tutorial stage?

Probably my favorite of Brandon's series so far. Adam is everything I could want in a protagonist. He's strong, motivated, and does whatever it takes to get the job done. While the VRMMO could use some work, I feel Brandon was going for a stronger sense of realism in his video game logic. This is a really enjoyable read! I'm also a huge fan of Fayte. I love how determined she is to fight against her family and Levon. I also noticed the pun on her name, as well as how her name closely resembles a character from his other series, WIEDERGEBURT. Well played, Mr. Varnell. Well played.

I’ve enjoyed reading most of Brandon’s series, I have to say as he’s written more he’s only gotten better. Man Made God, especially early on is a well written and tight entry into a genre that really isn’t his normal forte. If you like anything related to the game world narrative stories with a real world driving force, it’s worth picking up.
