About the author

Author Brandon Wade

Born in Alma, GA, and raised on a blueberry farm, Brandon Wade has always had a passion for agriculture. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in “Agriculture with Applied Economics,” Brandon returned to the farm with a new understanding of how the world sees farming, especially children. A large amount of children today assume food comes from the grocery store instead of from the farm. After becoming the Bacon County Young Farmer Chairman for Farm Bureau, Brandon, with the help of the Farm Bureau staff, decided to make a children’s book to try to show children where their food comes from. This book lets kids see a little bit of the magic that Brandon saw when he was growing up.

Illustrator Edward Bedgood, Master Artist

A life-long resident of Alma, GA, Eddie is a graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, GA, where he studied Visual Communications/Art & Design. “From childhood through adulthood, I have spent many summers working in the Blueberry Industry. The knowledge gained from years of first -hand experience was a major contribution that allowed me to illustrate this book accurately.”

Edward has been self-employed as a freelance artist for 20 years and is proud to call Georgia home!
