Just as Clint Armstrong and Emily McCallister begin to leave their past behind Clint’s previous pack learns that he is alive and will stop at nothing to break his spirit in this exciting paranormal romance. Clint would love to forget his start as a werewolf and Emily lived through hell at the hands of her abusive twin and the reader can’t help but get pulled into the story as these two wounded souls strive for the happiness they have been denied. The romance is sweet and the sizzling chemistry between Emily and Clint flows from the pages while the emotional turmoil tugs at the reader’s heart as their relationship begins to heal their wounds. These strong, captivating characters demand the reader’s attention while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps the adrenaline pumping with lots of suspense, turbulence and romance. Readers can’t help but get emotionally involved with these characters and all the intrigue and excitement draws readers in as the danger escalates with spine tingling tension building throughout as Clint’s old pack sends a few wounded souls into Edenton to cause chaos and to hit Clint right where it will hurt him most. There’s never a dull moment in this well written story that captures the imagination with vivid details and makes it easy for the reader to become absorbed in the story. Visiting Edenton and all the wonderful characters that live there is always a treat but I think Emily and Clint’s story is exceptional in that they totally captivated me from the very beginning and really complimented each other in a way that made their characters leap from the pages so of course their situation had me wanting to shed a few tears but at the same time you could feel the support that each had for the other making me shiver with the love I could practically feel vibrating from the pages.
