About the author

Brenda Lang-Knapp grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Willard Elementary School. As an elementary school student, Brenda loved to read and write. Brenda attended Jean Baptiste Pointe Du Sable High School on the Southside of Chicago. There she traded in her pen to play several musical instruments. She became a member of the orchestra and the dance band. Brenda Lang-Knapp attended Chicago State University and received a B.S. Education. As an educator, Brenda has taught every grade level starting in the early childhood classroom to the to the college classroom. She has taught in multicultural, muti-ethnic classrooms in Chicago, Illinois, Columbus, Georgia, Bamberg, Germany, Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Dallas, Texas Kenosha, Wisconsin and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mrs. Lang-Knapp loves to read and write non-fiction. However, one of her greatest joys is to research any topic from why this, to why that? Mrs. Lang-Knapp lives in the "Land of Enchantment"-New Mexico with her husband and their Havanese silk dog.
