The scenarios proposed are basic. This would be a decent book for someone just starting a study in criminal law, Federal Rules of Evidence, or other venture in hearsay or evidentiary law. Would also be a fantastic reference for possible lower level college quiz/essay questions. I, however, found it a little to shallow. I was hoping for something that would better propose questions and responses citing court cases that have actually taken place. I also expected a more in depth look at Federal Rules of Evidence and hearsay exception rules. Admittedly, I too am new to the study of law, but after nearly a full semester of criminal evidence courses, I found that this book did little to further my understanding of FRE. I also confess that I read very little of this book because I could sense that it was simply not what I was looking for. Another concern I must voice, is the odd, cumbersome layout and presentation when being viewed on a computer monitor. The slightest mouse movements in attempting to advance pages, resulted in the skipping of several pages. I tried various means to remedy this problem, having little luck in doing so. Again, for those that are looking for a back to the basics, generic look at how FRE is applied, this book could certainly fulfill that need. It would be great for those wishing to gain insight on possible exam questions you might face in the course of your study, and even, hesitantly I mention, be used to cheat on said exam essay questions. Your only screwing yourself in using it that way....but who am I to tell anyone else what to do. Good Luck!! -Arial
