About this ebook

In your wildest nightmares. . .

As the only woman on Terra who could Lift, Alora was accustomed to hiding her differences. On Earth, she had learned not to trust anyone but her older brother, Jesse. But when Alora's two worlds collide and all her worst dreams come true, she refuses to accept defeat. In spite of reason, logic, and self-doubt, she gambles her future to save the one thing that matters most in her life, and it works.

Or does it?

Her dreams of Terra may finally be a thing of the past, but her life is far from her own. New enemies appear around every corner, and everyone wants something from her. But perhaps the most concerning development of all are the secrets hiding in her own memories. Can Alora hold on to the one person she loves in all the world(s)? Or will the price of saving him become too steep?

Great continuation of the story! Bridget is an amazing story teller with great world-building and character development. Amazing book one, I really love the connection between Alora and Jesse and the friends they've made. There's another world Alora has to face (Erra) and her strength and endurance is admirable. Looking forward to the next installment!

Bridget’s creativity shines through in this series! My mind is always blown away by her storytelling. Bridget seamlessly goes between 4 different worlds and the past in this book. The main character Alora has many tough decisions to make in this book. On this journey, she has to figure out who she can trust and it just might be the people she desperately doesn’t want to trust.

A great continuation of a promising concept. I really enjoyed this second book in the series and read it very quickly (always a sign for me that I’m super into a book). This time I was straight into it, having read the first one not long beforehand 😊 This book has great depth in relationships between friends and families; this is built on from the last book in a natural way. The “inexplicable” attraction is finally explained, but still, she doesn’t let fate rule her life! I enjoyed the concept of the Egyptian gods being people whom others celebrated as gods due to their great power, nice take on this as it makes them more real and relatable. In this book, we learn about the Worlds of Erra, Rra and Ā and what may be memories of Alora’s former life (or some wild Egyptian dreams!) I liked how she turns up on Erra with no memories and has to work it all out, and how the personalities on the others Worlds and Earth are similar but not quite the same. She has learned from past experiences and you can see that thought has gone into the Worlds-building in this story. It seems to be up to our hero Alora to make the ultimate decisions about the fates of these Worlds, but she is keen to seek advice from others, which has a lovely humble nature to it without shirking her responsibility of it. I get a bit worried when she’s just tumbling from one life-threatening situation to the next and am glad when she gets a break to practise, chat and eat! Seriously, I love how much this girl eats in all her realities!

About the author

Bridget loves her husband (every day) and all five of her kids (most days). She’s a lawyer, but does as little legal work as possible. She has three quarter horse geldings, a Holsteiner (jumping) horse, and she spends too much time riding and not enough time writing. (Or too much time writing and not enough time riding, depending on your perspective!)

She has more chickens than she’ll admit to having, two lions head rabbits, a cat, two dogs (one bouncy and one yappy). She makes cookies waaaaay too often and believes they should be their own food group. In a (possibly misguided) attempt at balancing the scales, she kickboxes daily.

So if you don’t like her books, her kids, her horses, her chickens, or her cookies, maybe don’t tell her in person.

Bridget is active on social media, and has a facebook group she comments in often. Please feel free to join her there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/750807222376182
