It isn*t as much funny as Bridget Jones ' films. The author tries to be witty...But it* s much more like a botox story ...

Do not read this book while listening to sad Lana Del Ray songs. Cried the first 30 pages through. But I also loved it. Was like coming back to fictional family after being on a very long gap year.

Helen Fielding is the author of Bridget Jones's Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, and was part of the screenwriting team on the films of the same name. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is her fifth novel. She has two children and lives in London and sometimes Los Angeles.
