About this eBook

Ex-con Joe Brody has been called a lot of things. Some true. Some not. But now that he's out of prison and back in his hometown his focus is getting a job and a home for his ill father to convalesce. Easier said than done when no one will hire him.

Ashley Cade has a teething toddler and lives with an elderly man as part of an agreement she made to buy his house. Complicated? Not as much as it sounds. Wilson is a dear and his huge Victorian a gem in the rough. The lonely old man even recommends a friend's son as a handyman to help with the repairs and finally Ashley is making progress. And Joe? Joe is... intriguing to say the least.

But when the police chief tracks Joe down and Ashley discovers the truth, everything changes. Wilson swears Joe is innocent. Joe swears he's innocent. But the evidence says otherwise and she doesn't know who to believe when her child's life--and her future business--are at stake....

Great heartwarming story. My only reason for the 4 stars was at the end there was no mention of Joe getting pardoned for the crime he didn't commit. I think that is an important piece that was overlooked in the epilogue.

Cute little story but I was a tad disappointed at the end. I was hoping they'd right their wrongs not just say OK, here's your HEA.

The unfortunate loss of a child, a conviction of an innocent man, a small town where everyone does not follow the same path but rather has those that believe in searching for the truth, a widow raised as an orphan, and an amazing story of attraction and love that will capture your heart! A must read that does not need the steamy sex scenes often found today, but captures keeps you glued to the absolutely beautiful love story found on its pages!
