About this ebook

There are approximately 111 separate sects and denominations that are classified as Oneness Pentecostal Churches. These congregations are found in nearly every city and town in the United States, as well as around the world. They get their distinctive name from the fact that they do not believe in the orthodox doctrine of the Trinity. They believe that all who do believe in the Trinity are spiritually lost because they have adopted a pagan doctrine. They differ from other Pentecostals and the rest of the historical church on several important issues, earning them the title of a Pseudo-Christian Cult by established cult watching organizations and cult experts. The book, Oneness Pentecostal Churches, examines the claims, doctrines and practices of these fellowships. It addresses the issues in a manner comprehensive enough to satisfy the professional minister, yet clear enough to meet the needs of laypeople who are seeking answers about this significant movement. The questions discussed in the book include: 1.) Who are Oneness Pentecostals? 2.)Why are Oneness Pentecostals called "the people of the name"? 3.)Is the doctrine of the Trinity really pagan? 4.)Is there a three step pathway to salvation? 5.)Does water baptism save? 6.)Is speaking in tongues required for salvation? For those interested in understanding the Oneness Pentecostal movement, this book is required reading.

Until i was three years old, i knew the oneness of God, then it was taught away. For most of my life i was told the UPC and other oneness associations and churches were cults, and i told others the same, even though no one could ever really explain the supposed trinity of God. And that is because the Creator is not a trinity. The Creator is One all the time, not three persons or three parts of God or three Gods. I had also been given a lower view of water baptism, and the real ongoing miraculous work of One God manifesting as Holy Spirit was called unreal, man-made, or demonic. God opened my eyes to Acts 2:38 and the ongoing life-transforming work of God, also known as Holy Spirit and Jesus. God came to earth, God died for us, God lives for us, God fills us. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6) "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9) "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" (Deuteronomy 6:4) Now when i think of Jesus, "i love you Creator." Now when i think of Holy Spirit, "i love you Creator." Now when i think of Father God, "i love you Creator." Jesus our Creator was in a very human body while on earth, He understands.

The best way to understand their doctrine and practices would be to go their website -upci.org- or to read a book published by one of them.
