About the author

Bryan Shane is Senior Partner with BPC Management Consultants headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. For the past 25 years Bryan has assisted organizations to achieve improved organizational performance through the enhancement of their planning functions, measuring their strategic goals/ strategies, determining their informatics requirements, and developing transition strategies. He has published extensively on business planning, performance measurement, governance, and IT best practices. As a photographer for the last 2 decades, Bryan has captured wondrous images all over the world - of people, city, land and seascapes and animals in their natural environments. His passion for photography grew more intense in 2005 when he saw his first Great Grey Owl. It triggered a curiosity, a need to know more and the need to capture the delights of these wondrous creatures. Using a 35mm digital SLR camera, Bryan spends hours in the field tracking, finding and photographing these amazing animals – often in bitterly cold conditions. While his images provide a professional record of these subjects, more importantly they allow you a few minutes to relax and escape. You can imagine yourself resting or soaring where the pressures of everyday living are lost to the imagery and poetry of the moment.
