Peter Murtagh is an award-winning Irish journalist and author. Currently a reporter with The Irish Times, Peter has worked for The Sunday Times and The Guardian in London, winning an Award for Outstanding Journalism in Ireland in 1984 and the UK Reporter of the Year award in 1986. He is the author of four highly acclaimed books: The Boss: Charles Haughey in Government (with Joe Joyce), Blind Justice: The Sallins Mail Train Robbery (with Joe Joyce), The Rape of Greece: The King, the Colonels and the Resistance and Buen Camino!, which he wrote with his teenage daughter Natasha, a bestselling account of their pilgrimage along the Way of St James from Croagh Patrick in Co. Mayo to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. He is 57 years old and lives at home with his wife Moira, son Patrick and co-author and daughter Natasha, and their three dogs and two cats.

Natasha Murtagh is a student of English and Philosophy at University College Dublin. She lives at home in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, with her mother Moira, father and co-author Peter and brother Patrick as well as three dogs and two cats. She is the author of one book, Buen Camino!, written with her dad Peter, the bestselling memoir of their trek from Croagh Patrick to Finisterre, along the Camino de Santiago.
