About this ebook

His love of the old west and his love of his new found wife, Julie, were his biggest inspirations, although he writes about everyday things also. Ron lives in Hobson, Montana and is teaching construction to high school students. They build one house in a school year in Lewistown, Montana and he hopes to continue building until he is forced to retire. Ron participates in the annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Lewistown and has since he moved to Montana.

About the author

Ron Peevey wrote his first poem when he was ten years old, 1951. He included that poem on the first page and each page after that is in chronological order as he wrote them. You may notice a great span from his first to the next in 1994. Ron started his life in Erick, Oklahoma and moved to California when he was nine. He became a general contractor and had a small ranchette where he had five horses, chickens, geese and goats. He got tired of the way of life there after 42 years and decided to move to Montana, a life long dream. That’s when and where he was inspired to start writing poems again.
