About this eBook

New York Times bestselling author Penelope Douglas delivers an unforgettable romance that toes the fine line between love and hate in Bully—the first novel in the Fall Away series.

My name is Tate. He doesn’t call me that, though. He would never refer to me by a friendly nickname. No, he’ll barely even speak to me. But he still won’t leave me alone.

We were best friends once. Then Jared turned on me and made it his mission to ruin my life. I was humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got worse as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to stay out of his way. I even went away for a year just to avoid him.

But I’m done hiding from him now, and there’s no way I’ll allow him to ruin another year. Jared might not have changed, but I have. It’s time to fight back....

I wasn't so sure I'd likes this book all that well, it being set with high school kids and all, but I found myself taken back to my own childhood and reminded of thing teens have to deal with... I couldnt put it down and im about to start the next book. Good story, greatly written.

Their faces, the description of what they look like is not elaborated enough. Jared really hated Tate, he felt jealousy in a bad way, he saw his mother, tate's father and Tate having a good fun together the moment he came back home to his mother. (Not jealous just because guys are looming to Tate to get under her pants/date her) He came back to His senses that he really did love her when things are coming back to pieces. When life is getting good to him now. His father in jail, his brother in a foster home and his mother being less alcoholic-found new love btw. The story doesn't have a good romance their words feels dull. I didn't feel the climax I almost forgot about it. I really tried to like the story. This still deserves stars for it broke my heart to hear Jared's backstory and Tate's mother dying of cancer.

If you've ever seen the Spanish movie (or the original Italian movie/novella) than you'll understand what I mean. I really like this book but I can't give it 5 stars because it does seem like a small rip off. But, the author owns the toxic "I hate you but I can't leave you alone" dynamic and transitions it to something a bit healthier very well. The back and forth bt Jared and Tate is nice. The bit at the end seems unnecessary, like smth that would lead to a sequel but then doesn't? Mildly unrealistic.
