What a page turner! "The biggest difference between my birth and so many others, is that they came into this world innocent... I became the person I am when I was seeking shelter in that barn from monsters and watching a man who I knew nothing about commit unspeakable acts of horror that haunted every night of that sanctuary." This is book 2 in the "This love hurts" trilogy. Book 1 must be read first. This is Marcus's book and it was so anticipated and revealing to me. We get to learn why he is the cold-blooded murderer that he is. This book is dark, it has triggers for abuse, captivity, murder. It was quite the page-turner for me and that cliffhanger... I need book 3 like yesterday. 😀 This book totally got me on team Marcus. It is wrong for me to say that? 😬 And it is proof that, under the right circumstances, we are capable of anything, no matter on which side of the law we stand. Highly recommend it!!!
