im not even sure i read that book either. Now they all have blended together, the characters really are overwhelming and I am a huge game of thrones fan, and i can tell you everyone in those books. Its gotten bogged down (last book i read) and it just seems to draaaag for chapter after chapter. The 1st few books were incredible, wish it had been wrapped up long before now.

A lot of people giving reviews of a prologue like it matters. Seriously, get a life. How about giving this garbage one star until they release the entire book for digital download. Seriously, the greatest series ever written (imo) and I can't read the last book in it because i can't get a hard cover shipped to my base for less then 200 euro. Yeah, thanks for nothing amazon. Just want to thank who ever for this idiotic decision to not allow digital downloads of this book. Way to ruin my year, so glad i can be over here fighting for your way of life, not that i get to enjoy it. I'm actually going to have to torrent this book because that's the only way I can get a copy.

Seriously, this is not meant to be a comment section on the whole series (which is excellent), just a prologue to ONE book in the series. Don't pollute the ratings. I'll give a 5 to negate one of the stupid 1 stars given.

About the author

ROBERT JORDAN (1948-2007) is best known for his internationally bestselling epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time®, which has sold over 40 million copies in North America and is currently being adapted for the screen. A native of Charleston, Jordan graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, with a degree in physics. He served two tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and received multiple decorations for his service.

BRANDON SANDERSON grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. He lives in Utah with his wife and children and teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University.
