I just could not even finish this book - read it a little over half way and gave up, which is totally unusual for me! The characters, setting, relationships with others, and basically entire story up to that point seemed like a chopped up mess that was not a joy to follow. Definitely not a Fifty Shades, Nora Roberts, or any other form of enjoyable read. A total disappointment!

I don’t know where to start, this is not an easy book to read or review. It reminds me of some Christine’s earlier series. Caden and Greyson met while in the military medical unit. Caden is a heart surgeon and top in his field. They are now living in New York, and trying to adjust to civilian life. Unfortunately Caden is having problems, which in turn affects Greyson. Greyson joined when she was 18, and comes from a military family. Greyson is a psychiatrist and  now has a private practice where she treats ex serviceman with PTSD. Something is causing problems for Caden and Greyson will do anything to help him even if it means she suffers with him. This is not a nice and easy story so be aware of that, I love Christine’s work, as always it grabs you hard and won't let you go. This is must buy, as this is definitely on the EDGE, and now I have to wait for the next installment. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This Book Took My Breath Away!! Rough Edge pulled me in from the first line, and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. So, if you’re looking for a unique story that will explode your mind and make you realize you’ve been holding your breath, then look no further. OMG, the way this series has started is astonishingly brilliant! Cade & Greyson’s story is powerful, heart wrenching, haunting, sexy, passionate and filled to the brim with pleasure and pain. Meeting this amazing characters and following the beginning of their journey has been a very intense wild ride that left me begging for more. Flawless, beautifully well written and superbly plotted. This dark romantic suspense is twisted, and one of the most intriguing, captivating, addictive and gripping books I have read this year. The chemistry between Greyson and Caden is scorching hot and off the charts; their connection palpable and believable. Definitely a must read, but don’t take my word for it, just give it a try and judge for yourself. As usual, I’m not going to spoil it for other readers, but here is a better way to get a taste of this phenomenal story: READ “Cutting Edge”, a sexy and intense prequel to the Edge Series, and is available now FREE on all platforms! All in all, this is a memorable dark romance, NOT for the faint of heart. This book can also be tag as an absorbing psychological suspense!!

About the author

 CD Reiss is a New York Times bestselling author. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
