A. See the game No. 44 by Paul Murphy, under the heading, Baal Buddhibalpatucha Pradnya Deepak Dav. Paul Murphy was born in 1837 and lived till 1884. He is the first youngest grand master in the world. The game no. 44 was won by him in just 14 moves, at the age of 13.
B. Game No. 47 was played by the grand master Alekhain. He played the game with his eyes tied and still he won it. The figure represents the picture of the pawns after his 14th move. Actually, at that time, both he and his opponent had the same position, still he realised the weak points timely and played accordingly winning the game in 16 moves.
It is not practical to describe all the games and moves over here, but at the same time, we would suggest that you place your pawns according to the diagrams and positions shown, read the instructions and follow the guidelines to practice it. This will surely improve your game a lot, and will make you a better player at the end.
इसवीसन पूर्व हजारो वर्षांपूर्वी भारतात जन्मलेल्या 32 चतुरंग (बुद्धिबळ) दलांची, पटावरील 64 घरांच्या रणमैदानावरील जगन्मान्य ठाँडमास्टरांतील घनघोर युद्धाची उत्तरोत्तर उत्कंठा वाढवणार्‍या रणसंठाामाचे मार्गदर्शक मार्मिक ऐंशी छोटे-मोठे सटीप चाली व आकृत्यांसह असणारे डाव या पुस्तकात पाहाल. त्यापैंकी दोन नमुनेदार उदाहरणे पुढे दिली आहेत.
(एक) ’बाल बुद्धिबळपटूचा प्रज्ञादीपक डाव’ क्र. 44 पाहा पॉल मॉर्फी (1837 ते 1884) हा अत्यंत चतुर आणि समर्थ असा जागतिक किर्तीचा पहिला बाल बुद्धिबळपटू ठाँ. मा. आहे. त्याने वयाच्या केवळ तेराव्या वर्षी, फक्त चौदा चालीत जिंकलेला आकर्षक असा हा डाव क्र. 44 पाहा.(दोन) जगन्मान्य ठाँ. मा. आलेखाईन ’डोळे बांधून खेळला नि डाव जिंकला’ तो डाव क्र. 47 पाहा. त्यामध्ये 14 व्या चालीनंतरची आ. क्र. 47 ची स्थिती पाहा. ’सारखे सैन्यदल आहे दोघांच्याकडे; कच्चा दुवा निखळला की त्याचा डाव कोसळला.’ नेमका हा कच्चा दुवा ठाँ. मा. आलेखाईनने मन:चक्षूंनी ओळखून, केवळ सोळाव्या आक्रमक बलिदानी चालीने जिंकलेला डाव अविस्मरणीय आहे. स्थलसंकोचामुळे इतर सर्वच डावांचे तंत्र नि मंत्र येथे देणे शक्य होणार नाही. त्यासाठी वेगवेगळ्या डावांच्या शेवटी दिलेले त्या त्या डावांचे विविध शीर्षक व मार्मिक मथळे वाचून, ते ते डाव प्रत्यक्ष पटावरती खेळून, त्यातील चाली-प्रतिचालींचे सटीप वर्णन वाचून, डोळसपणे त्या त्या डावांचे वर्म नि मर्म जाणून घेताना खेळ शिकणार्‍या खेळाडूंना नक्कीच योग्य ते मार्गदर्शन या पुस्तकाचा अभ्यास करताना नक्कीच होईल यात काही शंका नाही. तुम्ही बुद्धिबळ खेळातले नवशिके असा किंवा नियमीत कसबी खेळाडू असा; हे पुस्तक मार्गदर्शक म्हणून तुम्हाला नित्य संठाही ठेवावेसे वाटेल!
