About this ebook

As coldblooded as a snake, but loyal to a fault.

Vampire Vane Matson formed the Nighthawks MC after having to clean up one too many messes made by his kind. Known for his ruthless tactics and eerily quiet and snakelike approach, he quickly became "Viper", the club's president, continuing to build his MC with men and women just as callous and as equally trustworthy.

Viper has avoided personal relationships most of his existence, until one night, he’s called to a routine clean-up, a mess made by a pack of filthy wolves. It leaves him forced to take in a stray human named MyAnna, whose shiny black hair and big, soulful eyes are too much for him to resist. Breaking his number one rule, he tells himself it's only temporary and then he'll be rid of the burdensome human soon enough. Until she refuses to leave.

With his secrets threatening to be exposed, will Viper be forced to get rid of MyAnna permanently, or will she win over his cold, dead heart?

Viper is book 1 in the Nighthawks MC and is for readers 18+. This is an ongoing series and books should be read in order.

On the 🤺 I liked the flashbacks throughout the story, but made me get confused about when they where in a present time situations. This did make the story longer, so I guess that was the whole point of doing that. I really like MC stories so I was not disappointed. I guessed I am saying this story was a bit too long just to make a point that the main character is a badass biker leader with a softside, who went through a lot of stuff then fell in love.

I didn't mind reading this story at all, despite a few grammatical errors and the author forgets details, like Myanma is claustrophobic and scared of the dark when accidentally locked in the gun cabinet but finds herself constantly taking relief from hiding under the bed enclosed in a blanket, usually covering her face. Also there is a lack of physical build up to the steamy scenes which seem a little rushed.

About the author

C.J. is a USA Today Bestselling author living in Colorado but wishes she was someplace warmer. She loves the SF 49ers and has a weakness for expensive shoes. She's the author of over 30 novels and short stories that contain both fantasy and paranormal romance with kickass heroines and strong alphas. When she's not writing, she can be found working at a very strange day job, which may or may not have some mild influences on her gripping stories--so strange, in fact, she may just write a book about it one day.
