About this ebook

A modern woman scares people. Her drive, her ambition, her independence. She's an enigma, and people often hate what they don't understand. But, to William, she's the perfect woman, and he will stop at nothing to solve the mystery of her.

Cara is a top law student in London. She's got her life together and is dead set on realising her ambitions, so finding a romantic partner is not among her priorities - at least for now. Besides, she's whole all on her own - she doesn't need a man in order to feel complete. With loyal, genuine friends, a supportive family and an overall comfortable lifestyle, Cara is happy with her life as it is. So, when William crosses her path, it throws a real spanner in the works.

The dashing lawyer boasts the most merciless tongue Cara has ever come across, whether it's in debate or in bed. Blunt and sharply clever, he ticks every box, and even adds some of his own - things Cara never knew she desired in a man. Before long, he puts her convictions on trial, and he drives a ferocious prosecution. Cara finds it hard to resist him, but being together could have disastrous consequences. If William wins the trial, she may lose more than just her heart.

Packed with complex characters, steamy scenes and cheeky dialogue, The Night series is sure to bring you on a journey of laughter, frustration, tears, and deep reflections you won't forget anytime soon.

Brilliant Book!! This is a beautifully written book that takes you on a journey along with the main characters, William and Cara, who fuel each other’s souls, and yet have to go through a bumpy road until they both agree to give themselves a real chance to love which hopefully will lead them to happiness. The reader can literally feel the out of this world almost mystical chemistry between them thanks to the author’s engaging writing. In fact, the writing style is one of the strong points of this book as well as the powerful wordplay, which includes the title of the book, and the amazing character development as the story progresses. She actually delves into her characters and allows the reader to feel their wide range of emotions deeply. You can feel their anger, sadness, despair, bliss, and you can laugh at their witty banter which is one of my favourite things about this book. I can’t recommend it enough and I’m already looking forward to the next book of the 'Night’ series.

In Miss Bennett's debut of Skin of the Night, The Night series #1, we ought to see an influential modern woman, who seeks for her ambition and independence a primacy. Asserting control of her vigour, forgoing romanticism at its finest was the path she eternally takes... The ever fiercely independent soul, feminist sovereignty, and outspoken of Cara was a character so enchanting to commence with. On contrary, William Night, the subject of Cara's undeniable magnetic force. William is quick-witted, unpredictable, sly, attractive, and a sexy one. Admiring, the way his mind works, the ever strategist that he is. Claire's motive to enlighten us from certain things, makes it to the closest of reality, that we can sympathize with their emotions. It's not your typical, fictional love tale and thats what makes it distinct, extraordinary, and genuine. Foremost, I highly recommended for you to read the Skin of the Night. Once you're hooked, it's endless! #SOTN

This book made me go through so many conflicting emotions and I loved it. It’s hard not to feel frustrated, happy, and flustered on behalf of the characters. They take you along with them throughout the entire journey. I can’t possibly find enough words to express how much I enjoyed and loved reading this book. It’s so well written, you will reread the whole paragraph again and again before moving on, I know I did. Can’t wait for the second book!

About the author

Claire aspires to become a lawyer, an ambition she has pursued since she was 12 years old. In the past, she studied business administration. She hopes to combine the two courses of study as she pursues a career in business law.

She has lots of hobbies, including but not limited to writing. She has been writing stories in her spare time for over a decade. Some would say obsessively. As a reader, Claire prefers to cuddle up with a good old classic, which she would claim has impacted her style of prose. Aside from that, hiking in nature and lifting weights at the gym are two of her favourite pastimes. Coffee is her elixir, and she's very curious about the world and how it works.

You'll always catch her in the hours of The Night.
