This is a quick read being it is a novella. I love dragon stories but wonder how much the dragon is part of the series. Thessa is a head-strong 17 yr old that has a lot of growing up to do to become an adult & have her own family. I received a copy through Book Sprout.

Thessa is one of the orphans in Laen, home to the Great Sea Serpent, Ceru. Thessa has been friends with Ceru her whole life, sneaking into his nest and sleeping with him curled around her. 0n her 15th Adoption Day, Thessa is told by Ceru that she will be his Handmaiden and also that she will wed a foreigner. She thinks she will wed an Arian whom she saved from drowning. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
