This is the first story in the new "Rapturous Intent" rock star romance series. It is a stand alone read about Trent and Becka. Trent is the lead singer for the popular band Rapturous Intent. Becka and Trent grew up together in a small town in Texas. He was her brothers best friend and by default her friend as well. Years later these two cross paths. The chemistry is there but the friendship seems to be more important until something happens. This is such a good read. I love the characters and the plot. Let me tell you there is a teaser included in this story and lets just say I am very much looking forward to Miles' story! I think I am going to love this rock star series!

May contain spoilers! 3.5-4 stars This was my first book by the author and I enjoyed it but wasn't entirely blown away. The premise is good and I liked the characters well enough, but I felt Trent was a little too world weary for someone who I'm sure was said to be in his late twenties (exactly when did he make it big as a rock star to become so jaded with the fame and lifestyle so quickly?) and Becka's handling of her issues while he was on tour and she refused to answer his text just was just too drawn out. I liked that she was going to therapy to deal with her issues, and I appreciate that it isn't an easy or quick process. But the fact he was clearly trying so hard to remain in touch and she was a brick wall just was so unbelievable (and a little irritating with the inaction) to me. Surely she'd have responded at least once? Or he'd have stopped and decided to wait to deal with things in person? It just became this going over of the same thing over and over in her head as time passed and that was a little too much. Anyway, it was engaging enough overall and well written so I'd like to learn more about the rest of the band in future stories. An author and series to keep an eye on for me and I'm hoping I will enjoy the stories of Trent's bandmates a little more.

This is the first in a new series and this is Trent and Becka’s story. Trent was Becka’s brothers’ best friend, and they formed a friendship as they grew up, until Trent left their hometown to follow his dreams, and Beck attended college. Now Trent is the lead singer, for a successful rock band, while Becka is working as a PR representative for a production company.
