wow how morbid and sad. To need something yet not want it truly. This is not a bad read if you are into this genre of stories.

The story has an interesting concept. I honestly was a little confused. Nessa and Lauren are vampires. Nessa helps a young boy survive an illness even though her sister doesn't really want her to draw attention to themselves. Nessa goes home to face her coming of age as a vampire. She finds out she has to kill fiance to prove her loyalty. She doesn't know if she can. She enjoys drinking human blood so maybe she can? Then something happens and she seems to be dying. I felt there should have been more background to the storyline and the characters. I know it is a new series for this author but I felt like I was left wanting more so the story would flow better. There was definitely a huge cliffhanger ending.

Love the book but its short and leaves you wanting to know what she does about nick can't wait for next one to come out
