If you like the story of Caden Abel this is not it. But I love the play on the biblical beginning with Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel. Thomas said the witch Lilybet to start the story and you will never know what will happen. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cain is a charming, humorous, relatable, exciting page turner. It's filled with action, steamy romance, unexpected comedy, & love. The characters are relatable yet complex. Cain carries a heavy burden on his shoulders and thinks he doesn't deserve happiness. His family sets Cain up for speed dating where it seems everyone he meets asks the same questions over and over week after week. Love has a way of sneaking up on you. It's filled with good intention friends & family, some sure will surely give you laughs. Lily is smart, kind, bold & resourceful yet some say naive but she's perfect, most women can relate to her. A crazy ex on the loose what's she up to? Is she going to cause problems? I love reading from both points of views. Cain is quite complex as an assassin that can't lie. Lily is a humble yet knowledgeable witch. Yet they're like yin yang but a perfect fit. Will they make it to their 2nd date? You won't want to miss this book with it's twists & turns.

Loved this story that is the eighth book in this series. I totally been enjoyed reading this story. This story was engaging and well written and a great addition to this series. Our romantic couple is Cain from the bible who is cursed and Lily who works at DeLux Cafe. Lily accidently sits at a designated speed dating table when she sits down to take a break from serving the room. Cain meets Lily when he sits at the table. What occurs is a delightful story that I received via Booksprout. ARC
