Sunny Beringer hates her first name—her real first name—Sunflower. She is a vegetarian, animal-lover, and has coached her daughter's Odyssey of the Mind team for the past five years. She currently teaches language arts to middle school students. Miriam lives with her husband, two daughters, and two pampered cats in Charlotte, North Carolina.
