Chill, relaxed, with a different vibe from most shonen. I think the dynamics would have worked a bit better if the characters were older, but maybe the younger age lets the author be more flexible with concepts of love and connection. Regardless, very good art, good translation, and immaculate vibes.

Kotoyama-sensei has a unique style which was difficult for me to place in the "uncanny valley", but I fell in love with it the more I read it. The writing is superior and engaging. I love the anime and now I'm sure I'll love the manga as well.

It slowly draws you in with a quiet ethereal atmosphere that wishes to show you just a tiny bit of the night life's appeal, all while having a young boy try to discover his feelings about both life and love with a vampire, all so he can answer the "call of the night".
