I have yet to read a book by Calle J Brookes that I did not like. She is an outstanding author and the PAVAD series is another line I get totally lost in. A great series starter

Keeping your imagination busy to try and find the person who turned rogue, Royal and Len are perfect for each other. Let's see what happens in the next book to come. looking forward to it

This book gives an overview of what loyalty, dedication, and community means, even if you are forced to police your own.

About the author

C.J. Brookes lives in central Indiana with her husband of fifteen years, their ten-year-old daughter, four-year-old lump of a beagle, elderly but diabolically clever border collie, evil border collie puppy, four demanding ducklings, one garden snail who lives in her child's bathroom, and a rogue cardinal named Carl and his wife Carla. Recently, they added a garden toad, Neville Toadbottom, to their tiny zoo.
