Better Than Sexy is an intense, thought-provoking story as well as a passionate romance. Out of all the people in the world Landon has to fall for the sister of the man, Vic, who was responsible for his twin brother’s death. Although Vivi is nothing like her psychotic brother; she is in fact one of the most caring and empathetic souls, which is why she is willing to forgo the opportunity to progress her singing career in order to avoid causing Landon any more pain. Landon is completely unaware of Vivi’s connection to Vic on their initial meeting and his subsequent pursuit of Vivi. Despite Vivi’s concerns she accepts the singing residency at ClubTen29 with the intent of keeping a low profile while not performing and hoping the skeletons stay firmly in their closet. However, nothing ever plays out the way we hope and Landon ultimately learns the connection between Vivi and Vic. While his hostility and anger is expected, it is not justified and it is this element that is explored within Better Than Sexy. The fact that individuals are judged by their association to others rather than their own actions. I am sure we have all been guilty of this and of projecting our feelings about one person onto someone else because of their link to the other person. It is a human flaw and one that when logic is applied can easily be rectified. Luckily, Landon is quite adept at self-awareness and analysing his emotions. While Vic and Vivi may be related they are nothing alike which brings in the nature versus nurture debate and what factors have the most impact on an individual’s identity. Better Than Sexy concludes the Sexy series with all three of our club owners finding the perfect women for them

***3.5 Stars*** Ok. So. I find myself in a bit of a conundrum over this book. On the one hand, I truly enjoyed this book. It was a quick, smexy read that gave me the feels ~ as I expected it to because that little description had me going “Whoa” But even as it had me going “Whoa” I couldn’t help feeling like I needed...MORE. It wasn’t that they author didn’t acknowledge all the issues or resolve them in a way that worked for me, because she did. It’s just there were certain moments...situations that felt a little too rushed for me and I just needed MORE and it’s been messing with my head for a couple of days. But I know if I don’t get the words out now ~ even jumbled ones ~ I won’t, so here goes nothing. I really liked Vivi and Landon. Vivi is exactly as her name suggests. She is vivacious, sweet, sassy and genuine. She has an amazing heart and even when she may be down, finds the strength to do what needs to be done. Landon is a good man, with a good heart who will do anything for those he calls his own. But the wounds from his twin’s untimely death haven’t healed and have left him in a kind of limbo when it comes to living his life. There was no doubt that Vivi and Landon’s journey was going to be all kinds of rough and when you add in a good ‘ole dose of insta from both parties...well, it was all kinds of interesting. While I may have had my issues with how some things were handled by both Vivi and Landon, what I can say is that they flowed well together when they weren’t dealing with the huge elephant in the room and I actually loved how things worked out for them. It’s been awhile since I’ve been so waffly when it comes to a book by this author, but it happens and despite some of my issues, this was a good read. What has me rounding up here is the fact that everyone gains some kind of closure and are truly looking forward to what the future holds for them all. And though this is the last book of this series, I know we’ll more than likely get glimpses of them in future books and find out where life has taken them. ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

This book 3 in the Sexy Series and I was excited to get Landon’s story and this author did an amazing job with a love story that has one of the hardest hurdles to cross. Can Landon forgive a woman who by no fault of her own is part of the murder of his twin brother all those years ago ...... Landon and his partners need a boost at Club Ten29 and he thinks he has found just what they need in a new singer by the name of Vivi who has taken the internet by storm so he suggests a summer internship that will hopefully not only revive the club but also put Vivi on the road to success.... What he doesn’t know is Vivi’s last name but she knows the club and why it has the name Ten29 so she turns the offer down but Landon is very convincing when he wants something . Will he regret inviting Vivi into his life ......... The saying we don’t choose our family comes to mind right the start of this journey and even though Vivi hasn’t nothing to do with her brother he is still there destroying more life’s. This story is about true love and opening up your heart to forgive and move on without letting the past destroy your future. Characters with sizzling chemistry and a story that touched me on so many levels made this book the perfect ending to a great series. I loved it and I was left wanting more from the partners of Ten29. Looking forward to where this author will take us next.
