The book begins on the 25th day of May in the year 1787, as a group of America's founding fathers walked up the steps of the State House in Philadelphia. They were enjoying the late spring weather as the delegations from seven states arrived for the Federal Convention. The members of the Convention were there to amend the Articles of Confederation. About the author

Carole Marsh founded the publishing company Gallopade International, Inc. in 1979. She has written over 10,000 titles both fiction and non-fiction which are used by teachers and other educators. Subjects of her works include biographies, history, geography, social issues, and current events.
