This is one that you can binge with your heart in it right from the first one. Loving this series I was so excited. Each one captures your attention carrying you through a new adventure in this world. The characters will own you as they worm their way into your heart. In the first one we watch a struggle but to our delight we will see them overcome that battle but the bigger one will be the enemy. In the second one eyes are the mirror in this one with the enticement that leads to seduction. But they can do other things and there is danger in that as we will see. We are than given something that is unique but has the magic to weave us in the search. But secrets once again can cause trouble or danger depending on how and if they come to light. Mates are so special they always take me away in the search. The last one is one that will have us hanging on ever so tightly. We know the job but oh no can it be changed. Only reading this one will the answers leap out at the reader. By the time you are finished in this one you will have a minute or two before you want to come back to present time.

This book is four short stories after the Dante 's Circle series. We get four supporting characters from the main books happily ever after. First is Liam and Alec. This was the story I most was looking forward to and it didn't disappoint. The second story was Jonas and Poppy, the third was Caly and Micha, and last Ashen and Eva. All were great additions to the main books. My only wish was a little more back story on each story, but because of the length of each it was not possible. I hope this is a bridge to more stories in this universe, since Carrie Ann left us with the possibility for more. A definite read for those who are fans of the series or for those who want to start.

I enjoyed the collection of 4 stories in this book. I was able to follow along well for not having read any of the preceding stories in this series. My favorite was Jonah and Poppy’s story, “At Last Sight”, as it reminded me a lot of the Talon and Redwood series books. I didn’t particularly care for “Blood’s First Kiss”, only because it is a far reach for mer-people and vampires to be mated. Good story, but not my favorite out of this collection. The other two stories were both well told and looped into the entire collection. Again, for not having read any of this book’s predecessors, I was able to gather a good overall sense of the characters and general understanding of what took place prior. Well done Carrie Ann! 4.5/5 stars
