About this ebook

Little Jamey, 21⁄2 years old, is placed with experienced foster carer, Cathy Glass, as an emergency.

The police and social services have no choice but to remove two-year-old Jamey from home after his mother leaves him alone all night to go out partying.

When he first arrives with foster carer Cathy Glass, he is scared, hungry and withdrawn, craving the affection he has been denied for so long. He is small for his age and unsteady on his feet – a result of being left for long periods in his cot.

Cathy and her family find Jamey very easy to love, but as he settles in and makes progress, a new threat emerges. Coronavirus and lockdown change everything.

Bless this dear child Jamey 💙 For all he went through I was absolutely hooked reading this he just sounds such a dear little chap 💙 I just love love love all of Cathy's books she is so good at writing these detailed memoirs... I just feel so relaxed and can visualise everyone and where they are so clearly while I'm reading... Just can't get enough hope we haven't got to wait to long for a new one to read... Also hope all went well for little Cora and Theo and there poor Mum hope she made a full recovery... Lastly hats off to Cathy what a wonderful woman and her daughter Paula too... I feel like I know them so well having read all the books from when Paula, Adrian and Lucy were very young to now grown up lovely adults... Another amazing read from a wonderful author and Foster carer. Definitely worth a read and to see what the pandemic was like for a faster carer.
