I was so freaking excited to finally get Rake’s story. I have been in love with this series since the very first book and when we got our first peek at Rake I knew he story would be emotional. There had to be some kind of past that would turn this man into such a, well, Rake. For those of you following the story you will remember we got a glimpse of how this book would start out at the end of Tracker’s and Lana’s story. While partying it up at their local club, the girls run into an old friend and former girlfriend to Rake, Bailey. Everything is going great until Rake comes down from the VIP section with one of his latest conquest and spots Bailey. You can just feel the tension radiating off these two and it’s not long before the verbal sparring starts. Rake is known around the clubhouse and by his MC brother’s as a manwhore. He constantly has a different woman on his arm and in his bed, sometimes even more than one. He is wild, wickedly handsome and pretty much sex on a stick. What most don’t see is that underneath all the wild sex is a broken man who is guarding his heart from ever breaking again. When Bailey, his high school sweetheart and his first love, cheated on him it just about tore him into. He started using sex with multiple women as his coping device, a way to forget the pain he was feeling. Rake will never be able to forgive Bailey for hurting him but he also knows deep down that he will never stop loving her either. Bailey is a single mother and teacher who spends her free time hanging out at home with her daughter Cara. After losing Rake over a horrible misunderstanding Bailey moved away to try and get on with her life only to find herself making a life changing mistake that resulted in her daughter. Now back in her hometown she is floored to run into the man that ripped her heart out. Doing her best to avoid him is also proving to be quite the challenge. You can see underneath all the hurtful and angry words that there is still a lot of sparks flying between these two. When a crisis arises that leave Bailey and Cara in potential trouble, Rake moves in with them and old wounds are opened. This book was so emotional. Both of these characters went through so much pain but have come through stronger than they ever were. I love how Rake instantly fell in love with Cara and you could see him immediately considering her as his own. I highly recommend this book. If you have read the other books in the story then you must read this one! I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. My first story in the Wind Dragons MC, and I enjoyed it. Bailey and Rake had a past with misunderstandings that led to pain and separation. Their attraction was still strong when they came back together. The chemistry was hot, and their love got them through their trials. The narration by Eva Christensen and Sebastian York was well done. They helped me picture the story as it unfolded. This is my unsolicited review.

As with the other Wind Dragon books, the story was good and continued with the MC story line. I did want more from Rake (in the bedroom scenes) given the previous books. Seemed to fizzle out a bit after a promising start but there are other authors who do that genre better.
