MORE THAN WORTH THE $5 FOR THE 3 BOOK SET!! Bought this set without reading the book summary-solely on reader reviews. GREAT STORY!! (I'm currently mid-2nd book) On an alien world, settlers find that they can suddenly HEAR the thoughts of men & animals-not women. As the story unfolds the after details of how the settlers dealt with their affliction, the native species of the world, the ensuing societal unrest, and upheaval of a shaky society will keep you riveted. The Story line follows Todd, A young boy-almost-man who is suddenly sent away from his home without explanation before his 13th birthday. He finds Viola, the first female he's ever seen; alone in the woods and in danger. Their story of survival, strength, bravery as they try to find a safe place-unknown yet hoped for.. makes this series HARD TO PUT DOWN! YOU WILL WANT TO BINGE READ THIS SET!!

This book series was amazing. Funny, adventurous, touching, thought provoking, inspiring... I could keep going. I spent most nights at some point turned away from my wife as she slept, sneaking in another chapter or five, protecting her from the glee of my phone. Wow
