About this ebook

Jennifer’s not perfect. Not even close. But she may just capture your heart.

At 27, Jennifer’s out of work, her mom just died, and despite stellar qualifications, every job interview ends in rejection.

Haunted by the teasing, taunts, and fat jokes that defined her childhood, Jennifer blames her unhappiness on her ever-growing waist-band.

And she’s ready for change.

Messy and real.

Beautiful and harsh.

When Comes The Joy (previously titled Skinny Me) explores one woman’s journey along the road of forgiveness, healing, and strength.

At last a book with feeling and insight to a very difficult problem. So many face this yet so few will ever understand what one goes through. It's never a quick fix but a life long commitment both physically and emotionally. I will read this book over and over again.

Great book, brilliant insight into what real happiness is, I hated that the book had one more chapter that could not be downloaded no matter what I tried, nothing worse than having a great book and then not to have the last chapter.

The writing and story are good, but the main character vacillates between being relatable and obnoxiously bitter and self sabotaging.
