About this ebook

Echelon agent Michael Larson navigates the worlds of espionage and politics to keep America from crumbling. All while a silent enemy consolidates power.

The election of an inexperienced and controversial president threatens to plunge America into chaos. When a prominent demographist is abducted shortly after a deadly riot in Charlottesville, Virginia, Echelon agent Michael Larson is the only one who connects the two events. Echelon tracks the growing threat of domestic extremism. It doesn’t take Larson long to discover that a very real foe is gaining power—the alterative right. More acts of violence are promised. All evidence points to someone in the highest ranks of the federal government helping them.

A prolific newcomer named Samit Bathari bursts onto the scene. And although he seems like the answer to all of America’s problems, he has his own dark past that must be reckoned with as democracy and the country’s very fabric are endangered.

I'm a psych thriller junkie, but A Day in Fall was a welcome addition to my reading list. The characters were really well written and the plot kept me guessing the whole time. It was definitely political, but in a good way, and had plenty of action. Michael Larson is the main character working for a government agency called Echelon, and he thinks there's a link between the government and deranged extremists after a scientist gets kidnapped. The hunt to find the truth takes him all around the country, and the world, until he makes a connection with the "alternative right" and someone linked to the president. It only gets crazier from there. Go find out for yourself!

This book is a couple different things. On the one hand, it's presents a plot where the government is tied to domestic extremists. It's gripping and full of action. On the other hand, it really dives into the issues of climate change, overpopulation, and how people become desperate when they feel like they're running out of time. I breezed through this novel and was really happy I did! So exciting and thoughtful.

I stumbled across this book a little over a week ago and ordered a copy from the author's website. Wanted to come on here and leave a quick review because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm really into politics, and although it doesn't overtly deal with politicians or government, there's a political undertone throughout that made it so much fun to read given America's current climate. The protagonist is like a toned down James Bond who teams up with an Indian genius type to weed out some bad actors that are purposefully sowing discord with America. I don't want to give too much away, but things don't go as planned and the ending gets crazy really quick. It sets things up for a series to come, although this installment wraps up quite nicely. On the whole I was a big fan and would read more from Mr. Harned.
